We had to shoot white objects on a white background and then black objects on a black background. For me, the white pictures were hard because a lot of the time the final photos looked grayish. Black was very fun for me because i found good objects. It was hard to find interesting white objects for me.

Irving Penn was an artist who drew and also painted. He was knows for his feminine and glamour pictures after World War II. He worked for vogue for awhile and was the first to take pictures in front of a plain white or gray background. He like to use natural light in his photos. "Clarity, composition, careful arrangement of objects or people, form, and the use of light"are some of the things that describe the way he works.

Today we took one of the pictures that we took over the weekend and printed it without fixing it. Then, we fixed it and printed it again. For the bottom one, the picture that had been fixed is very different from the one i didnt fix which is not a good thing. But still, I really like the fixed one!!!!!!!

This assignment was fun, but i had a few problems. For example, it was hard to get close to some of the numbers because the image became blurry. I found that if i just made the pictures out of something instead of finding numbers to take a picture of, it was easier.
